Rat Race 04:52 video
My body aches, my feet hurt I'm so late and my boss is a jerk There's no winning this rat race On thin ice while I figure skate Sleeping in my laundry, watch another movie Can't afford a family or another hobby Guess I'll spend my time feeling miserable instead Can't help but think I'd be better off dead ooh, ooh ooh, ooh This can't be it Fuck the government Work myself to the bone Don't have health, but got a phone To buy more things I don't need Don't have insurance But a girl could dream ooh (ooh) ooh (ooh) ooh (ooh) ooh (ooh) My body aches, my feet hurt I'm so late and my boss is a jerk There's no winning this rat race On thin ice while I figure skate Sleeping in my laundry, watch another movie Can't afford a family or another hobby Guess I'll spend my time feeling miserable instead Can't help but think I'd be better off dead

Ceiling is so far away when you're on the bathroom floor I smell like bourbon from the night before Ceiling is so far away when you're on the bathroom floor I smell like bourbon from the night before Wish I had the innocence of a little girl Empathetic eyes in a sick sad world Black slip dress drenched in sweat In bed with some guy I just fucking met Vomit in my hair that's now pulled back How am I not six feet under yet? A voice in the night told me to stay inside I can't trust myself til I am someone else Hope is behind me, I'm not worth saving Don't miss me baby, can't help the craving Oh no it's here again, Mom's voice inside my head From her front lawn into a greeting card How come you're so dumb If you're so fucking smart? I sit up and grab a glass bowl Filled with weed Glazed with blue swirl Wish I had the innocence of a little girl Empathetic eyes In a sick sad world Smoke a cigarette To yoga class Read a self help book Then throw it in the trash A voice in the night told me to stay inside I can't trust myself til I am someone else Hope is behind me, I'm not worth saving Don't miss me baby, can't help the craving The ceiling is so far away When you're on the bathroom floor I got more bourbon from the liquor store vomit in my hair that's now pulled back how am i not six feet under yet?

about

To follow-up to "Mickey Sellout Pt. 1", Mickey Sunshine fled an icy-cold Madison, WI and hit the road to Detroit, where front-woman Andrea Di Bernardo is from and much of "Mickey Sellout"'s story occurs.

They found refuge in the confines of the Russel Industrial Center; an artist loft and creative space in an abandoned/repurposed auto and airplane factory. Holed up in the 2nd floor studio with producer and engineer Cam Frank, the band set to work with the goal of recording one song each day.

"Mickey Sellout Pt. 2" captures a darker, grittier side of the band not heard in part one, as Mickey Sunshine's story takes an equally dark and gritty turn.
